T&T To Host CARIFESTA XIV

For the fourth time, Trinidad and Tobago will host CARIFESTA.

During the official launch at the Hilton Trinidad, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts revealed that CARIFESTA XIV will take place from August 16th to 25th, 2019.

The upcoming theme is “Tangible and Intangible: Connect, Share and Invest.”

“It speaks to the importance of bridging the gap between the tangible and intangible heritage, the old and the new, the folk, indigenous and contemporary traditions to create real opportunity connecting, sharing and investing that will lead to the sustainability of the creative sector,” Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly said, via LoopTT.

CARIFESTA XIV will be feature cultural festivals, symposiums, activities and events in both islands. A super concert is also on the calendar. Carifesta XIV’s official Brand Ambassadors are Machel Montano, Aaron ‘Voice’ St Loius, Nailah Blackman, Neval Chatelal and Nishard Mayrhoo.

All Carifesta XIV events will be free to the public, with the exception of the super concert.
