Brooklyn’s Caribbean community is unnerved by the recent attack of a West Indian woman by a white male.

The incident which took place on Nov 9th, has community members in an uproar over how the NYPD seems slow to handle the attack of 57-year-old Ann Marie Washington, who was attacked inside the Church Avenue subway station at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The white man, said to be in his 30’s, apparently yelled out racial slurs, including “Black B!tch” before attacking Washington in the face and about her body, ultimately stabbing her in the shoulder. This is yet another attack by a white man against a minority or person of color, within the last month – nationally.

According to witness Kezia Bernard-Nau, “The victim was hunched over. She couldn’t really stand up. She just seemed like in shock, really dazed and out of it.”

Check out this video Bernard-Nau posted on her Facebook page…

Now…in my opinion…had it been a white older woman who was attacked by a young black man, we would be seeing video footage, an artist sketch and every valuable piece of evidence to help get justice for this woman. See who would be portrayed by the media as this little helpless granny who suffered a near death, traumatizing experience. Why is it that Ms. Washington isn’t getting this kind of airtime and sympathy?

The NYPD would be quick to act is this was a Caucasian! You can argue with yourself if you want, I’m willing to fight you on this! Because if this incident were to happen in Park Slope or Kensington, there would be daily coverage or maybe even a swift arrest.

It is sickening….absolutely sickening, how the cops that don’t live in our community harass our people, but when we are undoubtedly the victims, they are slow to act.

“If this was a white resident, a new gentrifier to this neighborhood, there would be swarms of cops here,” said Imani Henry of Equality for Flatbush told NBC News. “But when it is a black person who is attacked by a white racist, there isn’t anything.”

I agree Imani.

Where are our newly elected and re-elected officials?

FIX THIS SHIT!!!!
