Del Monte Recalls Over 64k Cans Of Fiesta Corn!

For many West Indians and Latinos residing at home and in the U.S., the Del Monte brand is household brand used in many of their recipes.

As the holidays approach and the cooking goes into high gear, we wanted to alert you thatĀ Del Monte Foods Inc. recalled 64, 242 cases of Fiesta Corn Seasoned with Red and Green Peppers due to under processing, according to a press release.

The recall includes 15.25-ounce cans with the UPC number 24000 02770. The product will have the “Best if Used By” date of:

  • Aug. 14, 2021
  • Aug. 15, 2021
  • Aug. 16, 2021
  • Sept. 3, 2021
  • Sept. 4 2021
  • Sept. 5 2021
  • Sept. 6 2021
  • Sept. 22, 2021
  • Sept. 2, 2021

Del Monte distributed the product to locations in Alaska, Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and international locations Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, El Salvador, Haiti, Guyana, Uruguay, Aruba, Panama, Saint Lucia and Suriname.

At this time, there have been no reported cases of illness associated with the products.

Consumers who purchased the corn should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
