The talk all week is Jamaica’s rising star Dalton Harris securing his spot in the 2018 X-Factor Finals.

Well…that news has since quieted the other story of gay rumors that sought to tarnish the budding superstar’s talented feats in the X-Factor competition. Though many of my male friends have admitted that they don’t sit on the laps of their male friends. that is neither here or there, as Dalton’s personal life – gay or straight ain’t none of my or your business! Besides, that little chat that took over the internet only brought more attention to who could be the next X-Factor winner!

So far Dalton’s wowed the audience and judges with his renditions of:

  • Week One: Life on Mars by David Bowie
  • Week Two: I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston
  • Week Three (Halloween): Creep by Radiohead
  • Week Four (movie week): California Dreamin from San Andreas
  • Week Five (quarter final): Listen by Beyoncé
  • Week Six (semi final): Feeling Good by Muse, SOS by Abba and Clown by Emeli Sandé

“I grew up in a one-room house without electricity or running water, but it’s not a sad story. It’s how I came out of it and I’m triumphant.” Dalton’s admission of his upbringing touched the hearts of many, including Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, who says she wants to adopt the young man.

In 2010, Dalton won the Jamaican version of the X Factor – Rising Stars at age 16. In 2018, he’s coming for the big title and he’s going to win!
