With 30 years under her belt at Home Depot, it’s understandable why Ann-Marie Campbell is one of the hardest working and most powerful executives in corporate America!

The Jamaican-born leader has yet again landed on Fortune Magazine’s list of Most Powerful Women, this time moving higher up the ranks. The 53 year old who started her career as a Home Depot cashier, is in the company of other great female leaders such as, Marillyn Hewson – Chairman, President, and CEO of Lockheed Martin; Mary Barra – Chairman and CEO, General Motors, and she’s even 35 spots higher than Oprah Winfrey!

As Executive Vice President of U.S. stores for The Home Depot, Campbell leads the three U.S. operating divisions of the world’s largest home improvement retailer, including around 400,000 associates and 2,000 stores.

Campbell started her career at Home Depot as a cashier in South Florida. Now, 33 years later, she oversees 2,000 stores and about 90% of the company’s $101 billion in revenue, which is up nearly 7% over the previous year. In December the company announced an $11 billion investment plan, with nearly half going to brick-and-mortar locations. In addition to giving stores a face-lift, Campbell is adding lockers for self-service and online sales, since 47% of Home Depot’s online orders are picked up at physical locations.
