For the third and final time this year, Farah Louis has been chosen by Brooklyn residents to represent them in City Council for District 45.

According to Patch.com, Louis won her ultimate battle to represent Flatbush and Kensington on Election Day Tuesday when 11,965 voters chose the Brooklyn Democrat over Libertarian David Fite and Liberal Anthony Beckford, Board of Elections results show.

Louis had claimed more than 92 percent of the votes with more than 76 percent of the ballots counted, according to the unofficial results. Beckford had received 621 votes, or 4.81 percent, while Fite got 285, or 2.21 percent.

This is the third time this year Louis has run for the seat Public Advocate Jumaane Williams left vacant. He was also overwhelmingly re-elected Tuesday night.

Six months ago, Farah Louis became the City Council representative for Brooklyn’s District 45, after beating seven candidates in a special election.
