The internet was in an uproar when Billboard magazine revealed it’s cover tribute of the Verzuz Effect. However, the highly regarded musical publication deliberately omitted two of the biggest superstars of the Instagram battle – Beenie Man and Bounty Killer!

Jamaica’s Grammy award-winning dancehall artists Beenie Man and Bounty Killer were the first to have an in-studio battle, during the pandemic! In true Jamaican trendsetting stylee, #BountyvsBeenie Verzuz was so over the top and so authentically Caribbean, that many had no choice but to declare their battle the best Verzuz ever!

The disrespect did not sit well with fans, as they quickly addressed Verzuz founders, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. Both Grammy award-winning producers issued a statement via the Instagram Live video below:

Needless to say, de Caribbean posse wasn’t feeling the photoshop re-fix and took to social media to vent their anger.
