British national treasure, Sir Trevor McDonald OBE, is seeking a divorce from Jo, after 34 years of marriage.
Legendary Trini broadcaster, Sir Trevor McDonald, 81, who rose to prominence as the presenter of ITN’s News at Ten in 1992, has moved out of the family home into a bachelor pad two miles away.

The couple met each other while Jo, 65, was a production assistant at the news organization.
McDonald married Jo in 1986 and they share a 31 year old son.

McDonald was previously married to Beryl, the mother of his eldest two children Joanne and Tim. They divorced in 1985.
Trevor McDonald was born in August 16th, 1939 in San Fernando, Trinidad. His humble beginnings was the beautiful catalyst for his life of hard work in the field of journalism.
In 1999, Sir Trevor McDonald was awarded knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II, for his excellent service to journalism.

After 30 years as anchor at ITN, the veteran newsreader presented his last ITV News bulletin on December 15th, 2005.
I don’t know many 81 one year olds who would rather be alone than to live with their younger wife, especially after 34 years, however, this appears to be mutual.
Reports state the separation was ‘amicable’ and the pair are still cordial.
