Labor Day Weekend 2020 just got better! Major Lazer’s WALSHY FIRE just dropped the biggest Afro-Soca collaboration – “Consider II” starring Nigeria’s DEL B, Naija/Afropop icons WIZKID and FLAVOUR, with Caribbean flavor provided by Trinidadian Soca superstar KES!
Producer/singer DEL B (Runtown, Wizkid, Davido) made the original “Consider” with WIZKID and FLAVOUR for 2019’s Afrodisiac: The Mixtape.

Enamored with that track, Jamaican-born WALSHY FIRE applied his trademark Caribbean x Afrobeats fusion to create “Consider II,” a trans-Atlantic conversation in the spirit of 2019’s Abeng album featuring additional vocals from KES, who comes to the track riding a wave of acclaim from the just-released live album, We Home.

“The sounds of the Caribbean and Africa have kept the world dancing, even in these times,” says Kees Dieffenthaller, aka KES. “It’s always powerful when we combine those energies. It all came from Africa, so it’s an honor to bring the energy of soca and calypso from Trinidad to this collaboration.”
Walshy Fire says of the collaboration: “This is a big deal for me. These are legends. Wizkid has risen to the top of afrobeats, and crossed the genre with the biggest names in the world. And Kes has done the same with soca – he’s one of the top legendary artists coming from Trinidad.”
