Kodak Black is making major moves and planting seeds in the land of his ancestors.

The Roll In Peace rapper, born Dieuson Octave (now legally changed to Bill K. Kapri), is taking Diddy’s lead and stepping into the academia space.

Florida-based Kodak Black took to Instagram to share that he bought his Haitian grandma a new home and is building a school in his family’s native country.

“I got my grandma a mansion in Haiti,” he wrote. “I feel like we still be going [through] slavery… out of all the times I give back or donate in [any way], I never upload of broadcast it but I am happy to say I am building a school in Haiti as well.”

The young rapper has seen his share of street life and legal woes, having been recently released this past August on a slew of charges; grand theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana, child neglect, two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon and two counts of probation violation! Jeez!

Despite his imprisonment, Kodak Black was able to earn his GED and is now seeking to help the children of Haiti in their academic pursuits!! Not too bad for a “Project Baby!”

FYI: Wyclef, Future, Pras, Rich The Kid, Lajan Slim, Tony Yayo, Zoey Dollars are just a few famous rappers, also of Haitian descent.
