Whether you’re a football fan or not, whether you watched the game or chose (like me) to stand with Kap, we must recognize the talent that is Sony Michel.

Last night, Michel scored the first and only touchdown with seven minutes left in the game, helping the New England Patriots defeat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 to become Super Bowl LIII’s champions.

SI.com wrote, “Michel became the second rookie in the last 30 seasons to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl. Michel ran into the end zone after a five-play, 69-yard drive.”

The 23 year old running back is the proud son of Haitian immigrants and unapologetically draped the Haitian flag around his neck during his historic post game interview with NFL.com.

The Haitian community is understandably buzzing with pride over this young player’s performance. NYS Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte even took to Twitter to acknowledge his historic contribution to last night’s game…

Michel, has been a fan favorite and one to watch since his varsity days in Florida.

247Sports recently reminded sports fans of Michel’s athletic prowess and greatness, despite many severe injuries over the years:

“Michel, taken by New England with the No. 31 overall selection, missed the entire preseason with a knee injury and missed two more games due to a knee injury, but still managed to rush for 931 yards and six touchdowns during the regular season. Michel broke out in his first playoff game, helping the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 with 24 carries for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was the second Patriots’ rookie to have a postseason rushing touchdown, joining fellow Georgia alum Robert Edwards, who did it in 1998.”

Sony’s older brother Marken Michel is a receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Hey Trump….not too bad for a sh!thole country huh?!
