Today is August 4th, and in less than 24 hours there were two MASS SHOOTINGS in the United States, with a total of at least 34 people dead and more than 50 wounded.
Do you still want to live here or more here?
I am emotionally depleted from hearing these constant stories that have become as normal as seeing innocent black men and women shot down like dogs. If only law enforcement would treat black and brown people with the same respect, empathy and patience as they do white mass shooters.
Missed it, read this detailed report from CNN HERE.
45 has made it his mission to promote hatred, xenophobia, and racism to his white loyalist, which comprise of many HOMEGROWN WHITE TERRORISTS.
In the midst of all this tragedy though, a young man by the name Glen Oakley saved the day for many families.
Army Pfc. Glendon Oakley, a 22-year-old who proudly reps his Jamaican heritage, had been home from Kuwait for only four months before he would be on the front lines of another war scene…back on home soil!
According to the Washington Examiner: Identifying himself as a member of the military with a license to carry a gun, Glen Oakley told media outlets he was shopping at a Foot Locker close to the scene when he heard gunshots. He immediately readied his own firearm and headed towards the parking lot. On his way, he noticed several scared, unattended children and tried to get as many as he could to safety. This is Glen Oakley. He was in the @FootLocker when the El Paso shooting happened. When he ran to leave, he saw kids in the mall without their parents, scared and alone. So he picked up as many as he could and carried them to safety. “I saw a whole bunch of kids just running around without their parents,” he said. “I was trying to pick them up, one by one, as many as I can and just run out … it was just a whole bunch of kids in there. I’m sorry, I’m shaking.“
“I was just so worried about those kids, man,” he continued. “I was just trying to pick up those kids, man. I wasn’t really worried about myself … I just hope those kids are all right. That’s all I’m thinking about is the kids.”
Glen…THANK YOU! You were an angel to many children in that mall! Blessings upon blessings to you and your family!
