I could’ve written this piece last week but I really didn’t feel like giving White Chocolate 758 anymore of our attention. However, I wanted to make sure I had this piece published for archive purposes.

White Chocolate 758 Is The Monster St. Lucia / Caribbean Created!

ICYMI, there is a Brit by the name of Josh Butler who has adopted the moniker “White Chocolate 758” after spending two years in St. Lucia. He became a local sensation then global poster child for being a wining white man.

Listen, I ain’t got time to go through this nonsense. In the original video BLM – Moving Forward | Roundtable 2.0, White Chocolate explains that he paved the way for black people and Caribbean influencers because of his entrepreneurial success through wining.

Josh Butler Says He Paved The Way For Black / Caribbean People

Honorable shout out to Busayo – the black sister – who called Josh out on his white privilege and UTTER BULLSHIT! Check out the discussion below:

Anyhoo, his initial boastful comments during the roundtable discussion created a firestorm of reactions from Lucians and Caribbean folks around the world. However, this culture vulture chose to add insult to injury by further angering Caribbean folks by issuing a lengthy bullshit apology, which was heavily soaked in white savior rhetoric.

Jay didn't feel like giving White Chocolate 758 anymore of Caribbean attention but she wrote anyway. Full story on Josh Bulter scandal inside and why you shouldn't blame White Chocolate 758 but Caribbean Folks for creating this culture vulture!

White Chocolate Is A Whole Boldface Thief!

Fiona Compton, who’s been highlighting Caribbean history on her KnowYourCaribbean IG platform, who is also of St. Lucian heritage, alerted the public to Josh Butler also being a WHOLE THIEF, who boldfacedly stole a Lucian designer’s work and used it as his own. Watch her tell the truth HERE.

Caribbean Influencers Speak Out Against White Chocolate Scandal

Many Caribbean influencers and media outlets chimed in, including Babbzy, FollowSoca, Buzz Caribbean, LOOP SLU and WestIndianAmericans.

Digicel St. Lucia decided to distance themselves from the melee. However, the statement they issued (below) is just performative and has no substance, until Digicel pays local and Caribbean influencers what the pay foreigners! Y’all not ready for that discussion!

Caribbean Folks Are Guilty Of Exalting Foreigners Over Locals

Yo….I ain’t got no more time for this white man and his fuckery and the backtracking of his supporters and financiers.

I ain’t even mad at him for Columbusing Carnival.

I am pissed at y’all!

Every gotdamn one of you who promoted and PAID that man over local dancers, influencers…over your own!

I made my views clear on this IG LIVE starting at 16:54 mark.

We need to take responsibility for not supporting local and for being easily affected by the white gaze, that we create monsters who steal our shit, repackage it and sell it back to us – FOR PREMIUM!

I didn’t even want to write this shit at all. Y’all don’t listen anyway!

Let’s see if any change really occurs within the Caribbean diaspora when it comes to truly supporting positive influencers and PAYING THEM THEIR DUES!
